Unisex, soft and lightweight cotton T-shirt, with the right amount of stretch, embroidered with a raised fist: a symbol of working-class power and resistance. First appearing in a publication of the Industrial Workers of the World union in 1917, the symbol, and the gesture, has been used in protest movements since around the world, including notably the Spanish civil war, France in 1968, and by the Black Panthers in the US.
